In Episode #16, we launch a segment of episodes we are calling the KC Common Good (KCCG) Both Sides Takeover. You'll hear about KCCG's mission and message of hope regarding reducing violence in Kansas City. In #1 of the KCCG Both Sides Takeover, Mike and Allan talk with Kelsey Ryan and Jennifer Hack Wolf from The Beacon, a non-profit online news outlet based in Kansas City focused on local, in-depth journalism in the public interest. To learn more about The Beacon, visit their website at thebeacon.media. In the month of July 2020, American Public Square at Jewell's sister organization, KC Common Good will be taking over Both Sides. Have no fear, you'll still get your weekly does of civil dialogue from Mike and Allan, however, this month we'll draw special attention to topics that are relevant to KC Common Good's mission such as: Hope, Crime Prosecution, Affordable Housing, and Empowering at-risk youth.
