What did you think of the episode? Send us a text! What happens when we prioritize knowing answers over asking questions? How does curiosity shape not just learning, but creativity, cultural competence, and emotional wellbeing? These profound questions drive our fascinating conversation with education expert Genein Letford, who brings her unique journey from special education student with a speech impediment to innovative educator and keynote speaker. The heart of our discussion centers on curiosity as the foundation for meaningful learning. "If creativity is a driver of innovation, curiosity is a driver of creativity," Letford notes, describing curiosity as a muscle that needs consistent exercise during formative years. By celebrating questions and modeling the joy of discovery, we prepare students for a world where asking profound questions becomes more valuable than memorizing facts. Don't miss Genein Letford's keynote presentation at the MCIU Steels Expo on May 20th, where she'll expand on these ideas—and maybe even share her musical talents!Want to send us a show idea or just say hi?  Email us at: [email protected]

Dragnet Entertainment Radio The Dragnet radio show was a groundbreaking and influential police procedural drama that ran on NBC from 1949 to 1957. Here are some key things to know about it:Main Features:Focus: The show followed the cases of Sergeant Joe Friday and his partners, primarily in the Los Angeles Police Department. It depicted the real-life work of detectives, including the tedious investigation process, interviews, stakeouts, and occasional danger.Realism: Jack Webb, the show's creator and star, aimed for authenticity. Episodes were often based on real cases, with details changed to protect the innocent. The dialogue was direct and unvarnished, mimicking the way police officers actually spoke.Famous Intro: The show's opening sequence is iconic: the announcer's voice declaring "This is the city... Los Angeles... California..." followed by the signature "dun-dun-DUN" theme music.Impact:Pioneering Police Procedural: Dragnet is considered a pioneer of Dyslexia Is Our Superpower Podcast Gibby Booth Jasper I, like many dyslexics, (sadly) grew up thinking I was stupid. I don't want anyone else thinking they are dumb, less valued than those around them, or not good enough because their brain isn't "normal." That's why I created the Dyslexia Is Our Superpower Podcast. Episode by episode a community of badass dyslexics has formed to show the world that dyslexia truly is a superpower. So whether you are a family member or educator of an awesome dyslexic or whether you have dyslexic superpowers yourself I welcome you to the tribe. In April 2019 the podcast changed direction a bit to include a very important audience: dyslexic kids. The Treasuring Your Dyslexic Superpowers series is a two part show. The first includes Super D, the dyslexic superhero as he goes on adventures helping dyslexics understand their brains better and realize they are beautiful not broken. And the second is an interview with a real life dyslexic superhero.Episodes come out every Tuesday and alternate between a chat Lift Off ! After several intense competitions, a seventh grader, Kyle, earns a position on the Guardian's Lift Off team. Now Kyle and five other students will go head to head with six members of their rival school, the Protector Academy. Sometimes they will be able to use their supernatural powers. For other contests, they must relay on their non-Enhanced physical and mental skills. It all takes place with the idyllic backdrop of the beautiful Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. At first it seems like just a game. Then things changed and the outcome of the game may make the difference between life and death. Now Kyle must decide exactly how important it is to win. Is winning more important than doing what is right? This is a superhero fiction for the independent reader to young adult (or young at heart) crowd. Bacon & Babble Briana and Kyle We wanted to introduce ourselves and give a little background to this podcast. If you have been listening for a while, you know we started as Iron and Ivory. We had a clothing line and talked about all things fitness! Things have changed, Kyle and I have been recording our episodes while we cook a delicious meal at home. This is the reason for our new name Bacon & Babble! We cook, catch up on each other’s day, we sometimes have guests and sometimes have side conversations with our 5 year old. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and really enjoy our time together!
