Dani Ites / Bass Culture players - Rootsman's Melody 7" ASIDE [Strictly Dub Records]
Release Date: 09/18/2018
Description: Dani Ites / Puppa Shan / Bass Culture Players 7” 45RPM // SDRV7007 Strictly Dub Records – Tallinn, Estonia. September 2018 // Vinyl You can purchase this 7" vinyl at: https://basscultureplayers.bandcamp.com/album/rootsmans-melody https://strictlydub.com After our successful previous 7” single “Easy Country Living” with Natty Nature, we bring a new release with the likes of Dani Ites & Bass Culture Players in a different style. And, we present our eighth vinyl release! There are some people saying melodica is overused in reggae music. Our goal was nor to agree neither to argue with them, but to make a good musical disc. Frankly speaking, there should have been a vocal track on the A-side… you hardly need it. A top-notch melodica performance of the man called Dani Ites backed by the great Bass Culture Players is the order of the day. The one behind, Puppa Shan, is the jack of all trades – recording, mixing and dubbing the tracks with this analogue warmth we all appreciate. On the B-side, you will find deep, straight drum & bass mix with the sharp dubbing-out melodica parts. With this one we have the first Strictly Dub instrumental release, and we believe it is a good experiment. And if you’re heading to Spain, be careful – it’s getting hotter and hotter down there. Mastering traditionally provided by Sam at Precise UK. Players of Instruments: Drums: Drumie Jr. Bass: General Soria Keyboards, guitars and percussions: Santi Mijarra Recorded at Discoinferno Studio, Madrid. All music composed, arranged and recorded by Bass Culture Players. Produced and mixed by Puppa Shan @ Discoinferno Studio, Madrid. Mastered by Sam @ Preise Mastering, UK. Executive producer: Chaozlevel / Strictly Dub Records
