Welcome to Bug City Blues - a Shadowrun Sixth-World Edition Actual Play Podcast.

This episode is meant to serve as an introduction to the Shadowrun universe. We discuss briefly who we will be playing, what the setting of the game will be, and then take a deep dive into finding out what we've missed in the almost 40 years of content made between the creation of the game and the start of our project. We simply don't have enough time to get into everything (sorry, Halley's comet aficionados) but this episode should serve to prepare you for the wild, futuristic dystopia of 2080's Chicago. We only get into the weeds once or twice about The A Team and what devices should sing to you in the future! Lapham, however, is not one of the new types of American businessman, the ruthless plutocrat, rather he is the old-fashioned trustworthy Yankee trader, and the story deals with how he fares in the industrial capitalist environment. It is also a novel of manners, telling the story of the courtship of a daughter, and the difficulties the family deals with in attempting to move from one social class to another.
