Building the Body of Christ - Standing Strong

Ephesians 6 As we close our series through the book of Ephesians, we turn to Paul’s final instruction to the church: stand strong in the strength God provides. In Ephesians 6 Paul reminds believers that there is a real spiritual battle taking place around us, and that God has not left us unprotected. He has given us spiritual armor so we can resist the enemy and flourish as disciples of Jesus. In this message we explore each piece of the armor of God—the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, gospel shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. We learn how each one equips us to navigate a fallen world with confidence, integrity, and hope. Paul then points us to prayer as our ultimate spiritual weapon, empowering us not only to stand firm but to intercede for others. This passage calls us to awareness, readiness, and dependence on God, who is far stronger than any enemy we face. When we put on the full armor of God, we are not only protected but also prepared to advance the gospel and live out our mission: Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.
