It also foreshadows the cup of judgement that Christ drank on our behalf (Mt 26:39)Nm 6: It appears that the Apostle Paul and four other men voluntarily took the Vow (Ac 18:18, 21:23-24); Samson, Samuel, and John the Baptist were born into this lifelong Vow (Jdg 13:5, 1Sm 1:11, Lk 1:15); Some believe both the mothers of Samson and Samuel temporarily took the Vow (Jdg 13:4, 1Sm 1:15), and the entire Rechabite family may have lived bound to the Vow or one like it (Jr 35:6-7)
