In the Bible, we are commanded to be sober. Can we take any medications if it has side effects that make us not sober? For example, cough syrups, painkillers, morphine. I know that the general answer is we apply general principles and if a person is sick, we still ought to preserve life. But my question would be, what gives the authority to us that in some situations we must be sober and in some situations we are allowed to take drugs which result in drowsiness? Is it just common sense or general practice? - (24:29)====Question & Answer SeriesBible Presbyterian Church of WASunday 28th January 2024To view the series playlist, use this link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7ykqA1kvF6n9VJE7putTPt?si=fd10be45da784c1cFor a full list of previously covered questions, please click the following link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1I_99pWTfq7b5fpKVKa6xft8ymA9Tlq5hgsUvhBNhvxMTo watch this video on YouTube, use this link: https://youtu.be/iTCNx3EuxsQSubscribe to keep up to date with our weekly content releases and please leave us a positive rating if you would like to support our channel.
