In U.S. dollar terms, total foreign trade came in at 1.98 trillion U.S. dollars in the period, up 10.1 percent year on year, according to the General Administration of Customs (GAC).Exports jumped 10.3 percent year on year to 6.97 trillion yuan, while imports rose 5 percent to 5.61 trillion yuan in the January-April period, leading to a trade surplus of 1.36 trillion yuan.In the face of a more complex and severe external environment, the growth in China's foreign trade between January and April fully demonstrates the nation's strong economic resilience and ample potential, an official with the GAC said, stressing that the fundamentals of China's long-term sound economic growth will not change.In regional terms, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) remains the largest trade partner of China in the period, making up 14.6 percent of China's total foreign trade, with EU and US ranking 2nd and 3rd.One bright spot in China's pressure-laden trade sector is the country's robust trade relations with Asian countries and economies along the Belt and Road route. Some other entities under ByteDance have also been renamed.
