American Men of Action Burton Egbert Stevenson In this book, Burton Egbert Stevenson writes a brief biography of some of the most noteworthy men in American history. He begins at the very beginning of the history of America with Christopher Columbus and proceeds forward with the story of people who made America what it is today by their respective vocations. It is interesting to note that the vast majority of the subjects started in poverty and excelled financially and in stature. He makes something that could be very dull, a very readable and enjoyable book. There is no attempt at a consecutive story.” (Preface) Smalley was an American journalist born in Massachusetts in 1833; he wrote from and about many places in America (including the Civil War) and Europe. - Summary by Book Preface and David Wales 3735: Real Life Conversations 3735: Real Life Conversations Ep1 A Candid Discussion Description: “Real Life Conversations” is an engaging and candid podcast that invites you to step into the shoes of two African American men with over 30 years of life experiences.
