In this episode John chats with Vadim Strots, Life and Career Coach and Engineering Consultant. Vadim specialises in coaching leaders in engineering, technology and science to navigate life or career decisions in these difficult and ever changing fields of expertise. Bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in Industrial Chemistry and as a trained and certified coach, Vadim helps intellectual introverts unlock the potential of their powerful minds, aids those stuck at career crossroads to develop a clear vision of their life and future to enable them to take confident steps forward and guides busy expats and international workers in unfamiliar cultures to become more at ease with dealing with the unfamiliar. John and Vadim discuss how he moved into coaching and how his skills can be applied to his chosen area of clientele, his experience moving from country to country, how freedom to express and communicate can not only be more efficient but also make someone happier and how he approaches coaching on an individual level to ascertain the complicated issues at work.  KEY TAKEAWAYS After quitting Chemical Engineering, Vadim was offered job coaching by the German authorities to discover a new interest and found his niche in communication, leadership and coaching.  Vadim’s experience in the technical fields helps him and his clients to get in touch with the different, less intellectually based, side of themselves.  Vadim moved from the Soviet Union as it was collapsing, to the US and so has experience in adapting to a different culture and can advise others in this area. You cannot learn how being an expat is going to be until you spend a good amount of time in your adopted country. Being able to converse openly and being emotionally communicative can provide a sense of freedom. It is not always the most intelligent people who are successful, it is often those who can communicate ideas effectively. Vadim does not use a set method approach to coaching, he uses individual approaches for each of his clients. BEST MOMENTS‘I ended up in Germany in Berlin doing highly sophisticated work on diesel engine exhausts until I hit the spot where I realised that, oops, I have no more interest in that.’ – Vadim ‘We share similar traits, we spend a lot of time in our heads, less in our bodies and emotions. We tend to forget about our capacities that exist and are beyond.’ – Vadim ‘So you’re helping people see completely and get in touch with a completely different side of themselves?’ - John ‘I must say my family and I, we had a very easy transition in terms of finances. We had been well supported at the time. That has been a culture shock. It was probably the strongest for my daughter. She was 7 years old.’ – Vadim‘During all this process you pay attention to what is going on. What’s going on with the coaching? What’s going on with you. What’s going on in the space between you. And in this space in between you, sometimes miracles happen.’ – Vadim  GUEST RESOURCESWebsite and Contact: http://vstrots.tilda.ws/ VALUABLE RESOURCESLink to my workshop - https://www.johnkennycoaching.com/5- things-you-need-to-create-a-healthy-loving-relationship/ To get in touch - email – [email protected] or book a complimentary call – https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minIf people want to order a copy of the book then they can just pay postage of £4.95 (RRP £8.99) - www.johnkennycoaching.com/podcast-book-offerWant to be able to address the relationship issues in your life? - Why not book in for a complimentary call and we can discuss how you can get the new started with some new types of relationships - https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minThe Relationship Guy Podcast - https://omny.fm/shows/the-relationship-guy         ABOUT THE HOSTI am John Kenny, Award Winning Relationship Coach.Coaching people to experience healthy loving relationships. Brother Blaq1-" The Relationship Guy" Rob Gregg My podcast is about relationships and family. My goal is to help people make the right choice in mate selection. The only way we can grow as people is to look at our own lives and confront the truth. The saying is true, " the truth can set you free!! When we are totally free from the past, then and only then can we attract the right "purpose mate". Together with Nikhil Chinapa Nikhil Chinapa Together is a way of celebrating the relationship between you guys, the community that makes this show so special, and us, the team that puts the show together. Together, we/'re going to do amazing things. The FootPol Podcast Francesco Belcastro and Guy Burton The podcast that brings together football and politics. We'll be exploring the relationship between the two, both inside and outside the game. The podcast covers "Big Politics" like politicians, clubs, international and national federations and other organised groups and how they use or abuse the game to "Small, Everyday Politics" in the form of community-level clubs, fan associations and the way that football reflects the political challenges of our day to day lives. The FootPol Podcast is brought to you by co-hosts Drs Francesco Belcastro and Guy Burton. The Billy Madison Show Cristine Billy holds a Master’s Degree in Business from American International University and attended Mankato State in Minnesota, but don’t hold that against him. He is a collector of Star Wars memorabilia, autographs (seriously), and a self-admitted ”dork” (but in a cool way of course). Derek is Billy’s ”right hand man” and offers his opinion on many topics but he will honestly admit he’s ”not a political expert or expert on a lot of things” and ”never went to college” but neither did Bill Gates (ok Gates went, but dropped out) but so what? ”Nard” (also known as Nathan) is a former listener of the show that was given a job after Billy helped him find a girlfriend. The relationship with the girl didn’t last but Billy and the guys liked Nard’s ”wit” and offered him a chance to be on the show one day and he never left. Nard has won over 50 Gold Medals in The Special Olympics and supports causes that help place special needs individuals in appropriate jobs and careers, just as he has done.
