The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.2 Peter 3:9:What are those Christians living for? To be a good person?Christians are living for a “nirvana” in Buddhism.”A new heaven and a new earth…Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful… No longer will there be any curse.”(Rev.21-22)It is a brand-new world in the Scripture, providing a new experience. Everyone stays happy. There's no envy, malice, slander, or rage. No evil will enter, because there is no impure. So, no thoughts like “The Art of War”, “The Diamond Sutra”, ”Wang Yangming's Philosophy of Mind”, “The ~Analects of Confucius” etc."There was nothing evil originally, where could a dust have been found?"”Living in this world is tough. If we love ourselves and a God exists, why not take the deal? He promised a perfect world where we can live and work in happiness. Yes, why not. There is only one problem: the ticket is expensive and cannot be traded with our earthly money. It is for our spirit, which must grow towards God. we must grow it out ,because when we surrender our last breath, that makes us at peace. Our souls will stay somewhere with the others , waiting for the second coming of our Savior, we will be judged, and God will form these suffered and broken souls into a new image.Spiritual growth could be very long. Meanwhile, pain and happiness polish us like coarse sand. John Wesley has a beautiful theology. It says that, by His mercy and love, God shows Prevenient Grace for everyone and for free. But we won't feel it until the gift of conscience to the attributes of God is imparted. Then, like a person waking from sleep, our spiritual sense will start functioning, we know what is good and evil. blue or red? To follow God or ourselves, it’s struggling to pick the pill. When will it happen? It depends on how much we correspond to the call. It could happen at any moment, but I would suggest when you were in trouble, try to seek answer from God, you might hear Him.When you sign the divorce document; when you check the mailbox everyday for a job offer that will never ever arrive; when you find yourself bankrupt, standing in line for a relief meal; when Julian the A`postate fell on the battlefield; when John Newton was adrift in a stormy ocean; when all the disasters were incurred and you are at the end of the rope. That could be the best moment you meet God.And the ticket window. How much do you long for God?
