Jesus knows the specific attachment our hearts have to the things of the world. Following Jesus requires focus! He calls for our undivided attention on being his follower. Connection to Jesus means separation from this world. Following Jesus requires focus. Thankfully, Jesus himself is the source of that focus. As we focus on him, we see his focus on the work he did for us. He was willing to journey through life with no place to lay his head until he found that place of rest on the cross to save us from our sins. And now he emboldens us to follow him wherever he goes, all in on the Savior who is all in for us.
