Cinthia Hiett | Relationships & Religion

from The Relationship Guy

Cinthia Hiett has been practising for the past thirty years, specialising in life coaching, family relations, personality inventories, image consulting, public speaking and conflict resolution. Also, an experienced Radio Host, Podcaster and Author, Cinthia helps you become not the person others expect you to be, not the person you thought you should be, but the unique, joyful person you were made to be and she achieves all of this from a Christian perspective. Accessible to all, Cinthia's faith-based approach is not only helpful to those who share similar beliefs to her own but also to those who are grounded in their own views. Cinthia and John discuss her education and upbringing, her introduction to counselling, her work with organisations, family life and influence, adoption, and her new book ‘War to Peace: Keeping Relationships from Going Nuclear’.    KEY TAKEAWAYS   Cinthia was introduced to counselling through treatment of a severe eating disorder when she realised she has an affinity for insight and understanding.  While working with organisations Cinthia teaches them how to reorganise their staff to ensure they are all in the most suitable positions. Cinthia was adopted and believes you can decide what you want to be by using the strengths of your DNA to your best advantage.  You have one life and it belongs to you. Your beginning in life does not dictate its journey or its end.  Cinthia’s new book ‘War to Peace: Keeping Relationships from Going Nuclear’ addresses our modern losses in the new technological age and our lack of grounding and informs people of what works in relationships.     BEST MOMENTS   ‘I originally was not interested in psychology or education. My poor parents, you know, they’re highly educated people and they kept saying ‘what about your education?’ and I kept saying ‘I don’t need an education I’m gonna be a rock star!’’-Cinthia ‘I was the Pastor in the sorority so everybody would come and talk to me about their problems.’-Cinthia ‘Adopted families, they’re tough because there’s a lot of information that you would assume you have and you don’t have it. You’re going to have to find your own way in some ways.’-Cinthia ‘That take that you’ve got on adoption. A lot of the clients that I have worked with in the past have been adopted and it’s been a very different space where they’ve felt a little bit more lost or hard done by because they’ve never known their biological parents.’-John ‘I really had this book focus on the nuts and bolts of things that we’ve lost along the years. Things that were just natural, like being polite.’-Cinthia    VALUABLE RESOURCES   Links: www.johnkennycoaching.comThe Bicycle Affect: https://youtu.be/oO7XZGvdWnoRelationship Video course and 1-2-1 coaching: Relationship Ready Online Programme - John Kenny (johnkennycoaching.com)To get in touch - email – [email protected] or book a complimentary call –https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minIf people want to order a copy of the book then they can just pay postage of £4.95 (RRP £8.99) - www.johnkennycoaching.com/podcast-book-offerWant to be able to address the relationship issues in your life? - Why not book in for a complimentary call and we can discuss how you can get the new started with some new types of relationships - https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30minThe Relationship Guy Podcast - https://omny.fm/shows/the-relationship-guy    ABOUT THE HOST   I am John Kenny, Award Winning Relationship Coach.Coaching people to experience healthy loving relationships.
