Another Day in Paradise?  When we drive through town, it’s may be as the song goes just “Another Day in Paradise,” or maybe it is not.  Many of us work hard and do well-enough without too much struggle, while others are bound by addiction, experience homelessness and find difficulty in simply getting a meal to eat. *Heard Weekly on the Bay Area's KGO-810am and KSFO-560am radio stations* If we drive faster through town, we may not have to look at these poor souls but we all know in our hearts that they are there. Personally, I know to do the best I can to “love one’s neighbor.”  City Team is an organization that has an remarkable history of actually making "a difference." In this episode, Michael Hatfield interviews Director of City Team Angela Aguilar who candidly shares her own life experience beginning with a recovery from addiction.  She then discusses her fierce, unrelenting passion to manage City Team’s efforts in helping this “real and present” part of our community. City Team.org, with facilities in 5 cities (Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, Portland and Chester, PA), knows how and lends their helping hand to those recovering from addiction, abused women, and people in need. The organization “uses their resources” this Thanksgiving to provide meals to the needy for $2.49 per person. If you wish to “drive a little slower” through town in knowing that you have actually done something for these unfortunate souls, you may “Love on your Neighbor” by donating to City Team online at: donate.CityTeam.org.
