CMS modifies policies to assist students facing homelessness, living in foster care

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools leaders approved major updates to how the district will support students experiencing homelessness and those in foster care.  Some students carry more than just a backpack to school. They also carry questions and concerns about where they’ll sleep.
