Did you know that Black women in the US are more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth than women in any other race group? Or, that Black women are three times more likely to have fibroids than white women? Fibroids are benign tumors that grow in the uterus and can cause postpartum hemorrhaging.   In this Coach Chat episode, you'll hear the conversation between Coach Colette and Ashlee Wisdom, Founder of Health in Her HUE, a digital platform that connects Black women to the health care providers, services and resources that are committed to their health and well-being. They discuss the deleterious effect on Black women's health outcomes of social issues such as structural inequality, discrimination, and the chronic stress of poverty and racism.
