After retiring from hockey he decided to take a job with Pepsi. Feeling unfulfilled, Justin gave up his stable employment in pursuit of his passion. He shares an ingenious technique he used in order to find his PURPOSE which led him directly to FireFighting ( his PASSION). Smitty is a great example of not needing to know the exact details of your path, but to have trust in your progress. He identified his core values and decided to reverse engineer the process of finding the career that would bring fulfillment to his days. In this episode, we cover the in's and out's of firefighting, from the atmosphere and the type of individuals you can expect to work alongside to the requirements that need to be met in order to join. Our discussion leads us down roads of courage, self awareness and personal development.
