COLLAPSE: Orlando Magic’s Costly Third Quarter Allows Detroit Pistons to CRUSH Game 2

The Orlando Magic let a chance to take a 2-0 series lead slip through their fingers as the Detroit Pistons responded with a 28-3 run in the third quarter to seize control over the game and even the season. The Magic's poor offensive execution affected their defense in the quarter as things snowballed uncontrollably into the defeat. Orlando's poor shooting and inability to take advantage of first-half miscues ultimately cost the Magic and prevented them from taking control of the game at halftime despite a solid defensive effort for most of the game. That inconsistency is why the Magic are the 8-seed and having to climb uphill against the top-seeded Pistons, even if the Magic still hold many key matchup advantages.
