Colts cornerback injuries + Fever look forward to playoffs! Joel Erickson and Debbie Antonelli join!

(00:00-28:05) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday with Jake once again stressing the importance of having deep cornerback room after Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen announced Jaylon Jones will be “out for a while” and Charvarius Ward is in the concussion protocol. Then, IndyStar Colts beat reporter Joel Erickson joins the show to discuss the health of the cornerback room and questions surrounding Johnathan Taylor’s rest he received last week. Also, what were the biggest differences between a Daniel Jones offense and an Anthony Richardson offense?   (28:06:38:33) – Jake explains why Bill Belichick and the story on him banning NFL scouts from the North Carolina program will affect their ability to get recruits. It reminds him of another collegiate program in Indiana that had the same issue.  (38:34-45:44) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake explaining some unwritten rules to live by and if parents should let kids get foul balls.  (45:45-1:08:52) – The second hour of the show opens with Jake relating fantasy football teams to how the Colts are having to operate in their cornerback room. Shane Steichen gave voice to the questions surrounding the position group today and Jake reacts to his comments. Jake also combs through Steichen’s “coach speak” and how reading between the lines of his quotes is important.   (1:08:53-1:16:05) – We’re month out from Pacers basketball, and the expectations have changed dramatically since this time last year. Jake shows the similarities between the Fever and the Pacers due to the personnel changes and flow of their respective seasons.   (1:16:06-1:26:25) – The second hour of the show concludes with Jake readings texts from the listeners and explaining why the Fever deserve to be commended for the way they’ve overcome obstacles this season. In what ways can the Pacers do the same thing this year?  (1:26:26-1:49:26) – To open the final hour, Jake answers what the burning question is for the Pacers this year. Is Benedict Mathurin going to take a leap this year? What will that mean for his future for the Pacers? The Colts also have a burning question that still needs answered at the quarterback position. Shane Steichen had the answer to it all along. That same answer is also the solution to the injury problem in the Colts cornerback room.   (1:49:27-2:04:49) – Indiana Fever TV analyst Debbie Antonelli joins the show to give an update  on how the team is examining their regular season before they head into the postseason. Jake also presses on the challenges of coaching in the professional ranks in today’s game and how down to the detail head coach Stephanie White needs to be for the Fever to be successful. Kelsey Mitchell wrapped up an incredible regular season last night and Debbie examines why she deserves more praise for it.
