Coming Home into Myself

from THE CHAIR

Farron and I met at a dreaming session of a school that could and would be founded on liberation. Farron, a facilitator and consultant talks all the isms, fat phobia, and how hair has been a journey in conjunction with their gender identity. Enjoy! Their Bio: I am a facilitator, organizer of wealth redistribution, movement builder, and have been committed to social justice since the age of 16. I am a fat, black, queer, trans-non binary (afab), who grew up working class poor. I believed that I had to compartmentalize myself if I wanted to be in certain spaces, but every time I left parts of myself it felt like a painful denial of my whole self- it felt like I wasn’t acknowledging that the reason why I am able to create, vision, collaborate, and execute is because of ALL of my identities, not despite it. I am continuously practicing to bring my whole self at all times, that’s my commitment and i can support you in doing the same. My offerings are rooted in my expertise in facilitation and movement work for the last 18 years.THE CHAIR (S1/Ep77) — Coming Home into MyselfHello Beautiful People, I’m Your Host Dreme. I’m a Black woman, an educator turned tech entrepreneur but still an educator. Building a platform called THE CHAIR is a Black and Brown centered tech platform dedicated to supporting people on their hair journey. You can design hairboards, connect to hair stylists, and share hair care tips all in one space for a more joyous and streamlined experience. I built THE CHAIR Podcast to highlight hair journeys. A reminder to keep creating magic. As people sit in THE CHAIR you will get more than just hair stories. You will be immersed into experiences surrounding education, entrepreneurship, and identity. I hope you enjoy listening to my stories and the stories of my guests as we sit in THE CHAIR. Send us Fan MailHost & Exec Producer:  Dreme Flynt, M.Ed, MBAEditor: Lila Woodbridgehttp://www.lilawoodbridge.com/Music Creators: Your Host Dreme & Seoul (@xSeoulMusicx) Learn More About THE CHAIR:Join THE CHAIR Community for FREE:http://thechair.kinsta.cloud/Join THE CHAIR Newsletter for FREE: https://growinghands.wpengine.com/newsletter/ Commercial Credits: Visionary: Your Host DremeAnimator: Ahmad Merhi https://amerhifilm.com/film Voice Actor: D.
