Communion Service - The Power of Remembrance
from John Wasserman Podcast · host John Wasserman
We need to add to our faith in order to avoid being blind and forgetful. The Communion has been put into place by Jesus so that we can remember, meditate on and believe how powerful his death, burial and resurrection was for us to come out of a place of death, judgment and wrath into a place of life, forgiveness, acceptance and grace. Partaking of communion while believing this, is partaking of it in a worthy manner. The cross was the judgment seat of Christ, where He took all of our judgment upon himself. The Communion consists out of a dual memorial – that of the believer, as well as God remembering the believer and His promises to us. We are in God’s presence when we remember Christ’s sacrifice during the Communion. .
