Conflict Resolution

In this episode, we explore how Christians can resolve conflicts biblically by following principles found in Scripture. The Bible encourages us to seek peace: “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all” (Romans 12:18, ESV), to address issues directly and privately: “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother” (Matthew 18:15, ESV), and to forgive as Christ forgave us: “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32, ESV). We should avoid revenge and leave room for God's justice: “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord’” (Romans 12:19, ESV), use gentle communication: “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1, ESV), and be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger: “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger” (James 1:19, ESV). By applying these principles, we can maintain unity and love within the body of Christ, fostering healthy and God-honoring relationships.
