We should avoid revenge and leave room for God's justice: “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord’” (Romans 12:19, ESV), use gentle communication: “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1, ESV), and be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger: “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger” (James 1:19, ESV).
