Connection, softness & listening - Interview with Tara Stiles

from REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE - Wanda Badwal · host Wanda Badwal - Teacher for Yoga & Meditation, Author, Speaker

165: Listen to this beautiful episode in which Wanda sits down with Tara Stiles to talk about Tara’s path into the world of Yoga, her intuitive approach to it and how it is now known worldwide as Stråla-Yoga. Both also dive deep into how you remain yourself and stay self-confident, though society and expectations from the outside are maybe pushing you in other directions. Like Wanda, Tara is also a mum and entrepreneur. She shares about how she balances the tasks and demands coming up every day, and how dropping tasks which are not as important gives her time for herself and her family. The pillars of all these are “connection” as well as “softness” - connect to yourself, to your body, to your breath and be soft. Follow Tara on how she adapts this to her yoga practice as well as in everyday life. She also talks about how really listening is her biggest learning as a parent. Let connection, softness and listening into your life and be inspired by what Tara is sharing in this episode! Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
