An onus should be placed on contractors planning to build houses near two “dangerous” junctions in the Dundalk area to “do what needs to be done to make the junctions safe,” according to a Louth councillor.Cllr. Shane McGuinness highlighted two areas south of Dundalk where he said action should be taken.He told councillors at the monthly meeting of Dundalk Municipal District that roads officials from the council had visited both junctions in the Haynestown and Dunmahon townlands.Councillor McGuinness joined us on The Agenda this morning to talk to us some more about this.
