Conversation with Dean Herbst Asst. Emergency Mgmnt Director of Humble ISD

Dean Herbst is the newly appointed Assistant Emergency Management Director for Humble ISD.  Dean will share his experience of transfering from  a campus administrator to the district emergency management position.  Dean came into the position just as the COVID pandemic was changing our education landscape.  He will share his experiences as he focused on keeping school safety a priority as they transitioned to virtual learning.    In our conversation Dean shares his plans to of continuing the process of taking proactive action to build trusting student relationships and integrating social emotional components into the districts safety protocols.
