Commuters in the North West are being urged to continue to proceed with caution on the region's roads over the next twenty four hours at least. Met Eireann is also warning that dangerous conditions will persist in some areas into tonight.  There is also the possibility that melting snow may freeze which will lead to difficult traveling conditions. Kieran Brett from Leitrim County says Local Authorities will continue to monitor the situation. With a substantial amount of grit applied to roads in recent days and nights gritting crews have been stood down this evening.  He has however warned that some secondary and untreated roads will be challenging over the coming days.
