Country preparing for arrival of storm Eowyn

The North West Region along with the entire country is coming under a 'danger to life' warning as the countdown continues to Storm Eowyn. Met Eireann is issuing a red wind alert for all counties from the early hours of tomorrow morning. The warning was upgraded to status red for Sligo and Leitrim yesterday.  It'll be in place from 4am Friday until 12 noon on Friday. A separate red weather warning for Donegal was also issued. This will come into effect at 6am on Friday morning and will be in place until 3pm on Friday. Work places are being urged to plan in advance, schools and creches will close, and emergency services are advising motorists to stay off the road.  Climate Scientist Cathal Nolan, says the storm is on track to be the most severe we've ever experienced:
