Last season, the momentum continued, finishing with a 15-15 overall record with a strong 8-3 home record. Before taking the reins at GSU, Courtney spent a decade as the recruiting coordinator at Troy University, where she helped guide the Trojans to five Sun Belt Championships and six postseason berths, including three NCAA Tournament appearances. Coach Simmons is a native of Baton Rouge, LA, and has a bachelor’s Degree from the University of Louisville, where she helped the Cardinals to two NCAA Tournament berths and a Sweet 16 appearance.
