Creative Exercise: Directing Actors Using Generic Dialogue
from A Phil Svitek Podcast - A Series From Your 360 Creative Coach · host Phil Svitek
In order to be a great director, you need to be able to work with actors. The problem I see with most directors starting off is that they do give actors line readings. Don't do that. I present you a creative exercise that will get you past the idea of having actors "say their lines correctly" and instead really deliver a performance. Plus it's a fun exercise and would make an interesting short film. So go and do it and hit me up on social media (@PhilSvitek) with the results! Feel free to ask me any questions or offer some of your thoughts. And for more free resources from your 360 creative coach, check out my website at http://philsvitek.com.
