::Emz from United Kingdom:: Biography: DJ Emz was initially inspired by The Prodigy, rave packs, DJ Shortee and DMC competition Videos, she purchased turntables with the dream to learn turntablism but once mixing the DnB kept flowing! Since 2008 she has been an avid collector of music across the spectrum of drum and bass. She is a versatile DJ who can tailor herself to a variety of nights, from liquid, rollers to jump up, she has a great passion for drum and bass. Emz set up a DJ society when studying at The University of Derby and went on to co-run an event “Sonix” with DJ RSA. She has supported many local nights, along with fundraisers for charities such as Liam Loves Life, and Formdonation for Formation in Leicester in 2014 and was selected for Next Hype in May 2014. DJ Emz is part of the Cre8dnb crew, an online radio station run by DJ Blackley, and was picked to play her first gig in Belgium for Void events in August 2014, and in the south of France for the festival Snowbang in Feb 2015 representing Cre8dnb. She combines with DJ RSA to present a weekly ‘Sonix Sessionz’ show every Saturday 7:30-9pm on www.cre8dnb.com. Special guests have included DJ Shookz, Scartip and MC Kuedon. 2016 highlights for DJ Emz saw her selected by Drumsound & Bassline Smith to play at Interface Technique takeover in her hometown of Derby, and a winner of the Stilla Audio Competition to play at their 5th Birthday Bash headlined by Voltage, Bassman and Trigga.
