Critical Bass Arena Vol.97 Feat Mindshock

from Critical Bass Recordings · host Critical Bass Recordings

::Mindshock from Belgium:: Biography: Mindshock is a 22 years old DJ/producer from Belgium. Having started around late-2011, he evolved his style and sound over the years, starting with Dubstep but ultimately (and very quickly) ending up with Drum & Bass and its big variety of sub-genres, being influenced by the likes of Noisia, Black Sun Empire, Audio, Phace, and others like Icicle, Break, Rockwell, Enei, to name a few. He began playing at some local events near his hometown, while steadily rising through the ranks, before breaking through in 2014 and landing some decent bookings, including a few Belgian festivals with headliners like Jade, Mindscape, Black Sun Empire, SpectraSoul, etc… He's also part of the Generator crew alongside fellow DJ's La Junta, together promoting a fresh concept with which they've brought Signs and Disprove to Belgian soil for the first time (MethLab Label Launch, w/ Silent Witness as well). His sets usually are straight-to-the-point and rock-solid, chucking tune after tune, combo after combo, carefully chosen as if he's bringing a story. As of late he's also been developing a bigger love for the deeper edges of Drum & Bass, which will be the focus of this podcast, but as always, the occasional Neuro bangers aren't too far off. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia )
