Three sisters who were raised without their father reunite with him as adults after years of absence. One of them found out seven years ago that her dad wasn't the man she thought was her father. The narrator Carol, was raised in a complicated family with a single mother and was never close with her father, who left when she was a baby. She always wondered about her father and if he ever thought about her. At the age of 50, she was contacted by her father's biological daughter, her sister, Elena. They met up and had an emotional conversation where they discussed their feelings and experiences with their father.
