Today is Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to the Daily Devo, a short devotional designed to help you apply God's Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project. Take a few moments and read, first and with each chapter 4, verses 11 through 16, second to with each chapter 4, verses 1 through 8, and tightest chapter 2, verses 11 through 14.
We can live godly lives, even now knowing this life is not the end. There is a blessed hope in the restoration of all things, a hope that is grounded in Jesus, who is God, Savior, and Redeemer. Jesus redeems us from lawlessness, so we can deny godlessness and lust, and live doing good works that bring God glory. To be clear, we don't do good works to earn anything from God.
We can't earn anything from Him. We do good works because the transforming work of the Spirit changes our nature, creating a new heart in us that is eager to do good works out of gratitude. Think about this. What are some personal challenges in your daily life that distract you from pursuing godliness?
How should Christ's return and future redemption of all things, frame how we live now? If you are a need a prayer, please get in touch with me. I would love to pray for you. You can connect with me on social media or shoot me an email at www.adombertin.net.
