Today is Monday, May 14, 2018. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to the Daily Devo, a short devotional designed to help you apply God's Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project. Take a few moments and read Ephesians, chapter 6, verses 10-20.
Because we are engaged in a spiritual war, we need spiritual weapons to protect ourselves and fight our enemy. This is why we must wear spiritual armor constantly. We should never take it off, because you don't take off your armor in the war. You take it off only when there is peace.
You don't try putting on your seatbelt when you see the 18-wheeler coming right toward you at 60 miles per hour. You put it on before you leave the garage. Likewise, don't wait for the enemy to show himself before you start suiting up. You don't know when the attacks will come, but you know they will.
Think about this. Do you approach the Christian life with a wartime mindset? Why or why not? What are some daily habits we can put into place that will remind us about suiting up for spiritual battle?
If you are a need a prayer, please get in touch with me. I would love to pray for you. You can connect with me on social media or shoot me an email at adambertton.net. Oh, thank you.
