Today is Monday, June 18, 2018. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to The Daily Devo, a short devotional designed to help you apply God's Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project. Take a few moments and read Acts, chapter 27, verses 13 through 44, and chapter 28 verses 11 through 16.
During Paul's shipwreck, Jesus promised to save his life, but he didn't promise to save his ship. Like the Titanic, it sank to the ocean floor. Paul was saved, but he still went overboard. Sometimes God puts us in the water, so we will have nothing to clean to but him.
We are better off for it, and so are others. Jesus Christ often shines more through our suffering than he shines through our safety. Think about this. Paul was able to look to God's promises and not the storm region around him.
