Today is Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to The Daily Divo, a short devotional designed to help you apply God's Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project. Take a few moments and read 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4, verse 13, chapter 5, verse 11.
This week's essential doctrine is millennial views. There are three predominant views regarding ways to understand the Bible's teaching on the millennial reign of Christ. The pre-millennial view holds that the Millennium is a literal 1,000-year reign of Christ on Earth that will take place just after his return. The post-millennial view holds that the Millennium happens during this church age, and Christ's return will take place afterward.
The all-millennial view holds that there is no literal millennial reign of Christ here on Earth, but instead it symbolically represents Christ's reign in the hearts of God's people during the church age.
