Today is Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to the Daily Devo, a short devotional designed to help you apply God's Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project. Take a few moments and read Revelation 1, verses 9 through 20.
Hell is real, and forever is a long time. We need to be clear about this. However, we should never use hell as a scare tactic to convince people to believe in Jesus. We are ministers of reconciliation, not of condemnation.
We preach a gospel of hope, of victory, and life. Our first words to people should not be repents or go to hell. Rather, we should follow John the Baptist's model. Repent because the Kingdom of Heaven has come near.
Think about this. Why is it important to talk about hell, even if it is an uncomfortable and unpopular subject? How should the reality of future judgment make us feel toward the people we know and care about? If you are in need of prayer, please get in touch with me.
I would love to pray for you. You can connect with me on social media or shoot me an email at them at www.adonburton.net. Oh, thank you. Thank you for listening to the Daily Devo podcast.
Go ahead and subscribe. That way you can start every morning focusing on God. Also, please give us a rating and review in your podcast app. This will help others to find the Daily Devo.
