Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 28 that all authority in both heaven and earth has been given to Him. As we have traced Revelation 1 so far, we have seen His power in that He stands over time, death, and even hell itself. This authority is the foundation of our mission. Jesus tells us we can go into the world without fear because the Supreme Ruler of the universe is with us.
Think about this. How does Jesus' power over death shape the way you view death and talk about it with others? What will you do differently this week? Because you know Jesus is in control over time, death, and hell itself.
