Today is Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to The Daily Divo, a short devotional designed to help you apply God's Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project. Take a few moments and read Revelation, chapter 4, verse 2, through chapter 5, verse 14.
This week's essential doctrine is worship. While many reduce worship to any events or the singing of worship songs, worship is first and foremost something of the heart that extends to all areas of life. The aim and focus of worship is God, giving him the exact dew of praise and adoration he deserves. Worship should be carried out not only at a personal level within a Christian's life, but also in joining with other Christians in the corporate act of worship and stewarding our gifts for the glory of God.
Corporate worship serves to edify and strengthen other Christians, but it also serves as a witness to non-believers of the greatness of God. If you are in need of prayer, please get in touch with me. I would love to pray for you. You can connect with me on social media or shoot me an email at adamberton.net.
