Today is Monday, August 27, 2018. Hi, my name is Adam Burton, and you are listening to The Daily Divo, a short devotional designed to help you apply God's Word to your life. The content comes from the Gospel Project. Take a few moments and read Revelation, Chapter 21, verses 1 through 8, and Chapter 22, verses 1 through 15.
God is a God of life. As soon as Adam and Eve sinned, he didn't leave them for dead. Expulsion from the garden was the consequence, and death was inevitable, but in his grace, he still clothed them. When Jesus died, he was resurrected to secure his people's final resurrection to life with him.
God is a righteous and good judge, everyone will be resurrected, but not everyone will be resurrected to eternal life with him. Think about this. How does the Gospel provide comfort and understanding when it comes to dealing with the reality of death? What do the scripture passages from this passage communicate about the way God views death?
