Elisha wasn’t merely receiving head knowledge from Elijah but truth that resulted in a change of heart, a change of lifestyle, and a changed purpose in living.  We, too, have a similar calling in our day and age. We are to pass God’s Word onto the next generation. For many of you, that may involve serving in the children’s ministry or being actively involved in the discipleship of someone else. Whatever form it takes, the call is clear: fulfill the Great Commission.  Think about this: What lessons do we learn from this account about the importance of passing on the truth of God’s Word to the next generation?
