I'm Adam Burton, and this is the Daily Devo. Today is Friday, October 1, 2021. This week's Bible verse to memorize is John chapter 1 verses 12 and 13. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, John chapter 1 verses 12 and 13.
Did you know that on this date, in 1946, the trial of the major war criminals part of the Nuremberg trials ended with sentences being passed against several key members of the Nazi party? In 1949, Mao Zedong declared the establishment of the People's Republic of China. In 1957, Falamodide, an anti-Nazia drug in sleep aid, was launched. For about five years, it was commonly prescribed to pregnant women as a drug to deal with morning sickness.

Think about these Bible verses today from Proverbs 8 verses 12 through 17. I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is the hatred of evil, pride and arrogance, and the way of evil, and perverted speech I hate. I have counsel and sound wisdom.
I have insight. I have strength. By me, kings reign and rulers decree what is just. By me, princes rule and nobles, all who govern justly.
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me. Thanks for listening to The Daily Divu. I will see you on Monday. God bless.
