But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1, 12 and 13. Did you know that on this date in 1922, Constantine I of Greece abdicated in favor of his son, George II, after a military revolt? In 1937, the Bali tiger goes extinct. Native to the Indonesian island of Bali, the Bali tiger was made extinct due to human activities and hunting.
On this day, the last known adult Balinese tiger was shot dead. In 1940, the Tripartite Pact is signed. It established the Axis powers during World War II and was signed by representatives of Germany, Italy, and Imperial Japan. In 1962, Gamal Abdel Nasser declared the establishment of the Yemen Arab Republic after staging a coup that deposed the king, Muhammad al-Ahdar.
And in 1996, the Taliban take over Kabul. Following the takeover, the Islamic fundamentalist group established the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. So now, you do know. Think about this Bible verse today.
