Today is Wednesday, August 25, 2021, and here is your daily diva from the gospel project. You can prepare for Christ's return by following Him as your King. He will one day rule over Earth forever, but does He rule over you? Have you surrendered to King Jesus?
If you have, you can live a life even now that in a way writes His name upon your head. You can live like you belong to Jesus, but first He must make you a new creation through the gospel. It's in color compared to the new birth, to the new creation asking, where is the new birth from? It's from the future.
The birth is the power that God is going to use to regenerate the world brought into your present. It's the future coming into you. It's God's future present in you in your heart now. It's that renewing, regenerating power by which God is going to heal everything and remove all evil and all sin and everything, but it comes into your heart now.
See if you trust Christ as King now, He will make you a new creation even in the present creation. And one day you will enter the new creation and reign with Him forever. Think about this. What can you prepare for Christ's return now?
