In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)Affirmation I trust God’s divine plan for my life, knowing that He guides me with love and wisdom.Back Story on the ScriptureProverbs is wisdom literature, largely attributed to King Solomon (10th century BC) and compiled over time. Chapters 1–9 read like a father’s instruction to a son, urging the pursuit of wisdom rooted in the fear of the Lord.Proverbs 3 urges covenant loyalty and practical wisdom. Verses 5–6 sit at the heart of this chapter, contrasting self-reliance with God-reliance and promising divine guidance to those who trust and submit their ways to Him.In the Hebrew, “trust” conveys secure confidence; “acknowledge” implies relational knowing and submission; and “direct your paths” pictures God making the way straight and clear in His timing.Word of the Day: Acknowledge (Hebrew: yada)Meaning: To know, recognize, and submit to; to be in relationship with.
