你知道教师节的由来吗？ Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and may include celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general.The idea of celebrating Teachers' Day took root in many countries during the 19th century; in most cases, they celebrate a local educator or an important milestone in education. 教师节是对教师感谢的一个特殊的日子，庆祝教师对教育这一领域的贡献或者褒奖教师这一团体。教师节的源于19世纪，大部分情况下人们授予当地教育家荣誉或者庆贺教育领域中的重要里程碑。In China, there are some activities for students to show their appreciation to teachers, such as presenting gifts, including cards and flowers. Some believe it is due to the similar pronunciation between the word "teacher" (教师 jiao shi) and the two digits 9 (九jiu), 10 (十shi) in the date.
