De Amerikaanse bankensector heeft een hectisch weekend achter de rug. Na cryptobank Silvergate viel ook de huisbankier van Silicon Valley vrijdag om. Reden voor de Amerikaanse overheid om in te grijpen. VS-correspondent Lennart Zandbergen vertelt over de noodmaatregelen en legt uit wat er aan die ingreep voorafging. Of die krimp gerechtvaardigd is, daarover bestaan niet alleen bij de luchtvaartmaatschappijen maar ook in Brussel twijfels, vertelt luchtvaartredacteur Jan Verbeek. Daarin beloven ze de benodigde woningaantallen te bouwen om de gewenste 900.000 nieuwe huizen tot 2030 te halen. Toch is de bouw van nieuwe woningen nog niet gegarandeerd, vertelt woningmarktredacteur Nelleke Trappenburg.
