Death on the Farm: 1. What The Postman Saw

from Crime Next Door · host BBC Sounds

When a postman makes a grim discovery in the course of his morning rounds, the shockwaves are felt far and wide. This series begins in 1976, with the memories of Nigel Rossiter, the postman who saw things he wished he hadn't seen. He was still learning the ropes, as a postman in the rural Pembrokeshire village of Llangolman. But that December day would change pretty much everything around here. We hear how the events of the next hours, days and weeks, would leave a community first in fear, and then in disbelief, as they learned the identity of the victims, and began to wonder who could be responsible. As the ripples of the crime, and the investigation start to spread - can anyone make sense of what's happened? Are there clues which could make anything clearer? This is the first episode of a six-part series which examines this case, exploring if justice was ever served, and telling the story of a community who won't let the case fade away. Narrated by Bettrys Jones Produced by What's The Story Sounds

NEWMORROW SESSIONS - A PodCast Series on the Future of Hospitality Mario C. Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We ask the tough questions, confront uncomfortable truths, and prepare for a future that resists easy answers. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next. So tune in Hyperfluent Hypio Hyperfluent transmits straight from the heart of Hyperliquid, where culture, creativity, and capital converge. Anchored by the architects of Hypio—the decentralized cultural virus—each episode archives the minds engineering the blockchain built to house all finance. These conversations are traceable artifacts in HyperEVM’s evolution: not just what’s being built, but why it matters, how it mutates, and where it’s taking us next. Listen in for the blueprints, the blind spots, and the narrative weapons shaping tomorrow’s markets.Hyperfluent: learn the language, ride the wave, spread the strain. The Brackenfield Records Anvil Audio Productions An off-beat homage to classic radio detectives of the 1940s and '50s, The Brackenfield Records offers comforting genre fare, sitting somewhere between cosy and hard-boiled crime fiction.Whether it's dealing with unfaithful spouses, off-the-rails celebrities, crooked businesspeople, or gun-toting no-gooders, Brackenfield never falters! Vampires of the Paper Flower Consortium Elizabeth Guizzetti Come for the evening, stay for eternity! Paper Flower Consortium is a podcast from the largest vampire coven in Seattle. Their stories are told by Loretta Fabron Onfoy, coven historian and librarian, in the hope that the modern vampire's way of life is not lost during the next great language transformation. Some tales in this anthology are horrific, some are droll, some are filled with misadventure--just like any eternal existence. Episodes sponsored by the Paper Flower Consortium's Business Community. The history is followed by questions from curious initiates. Want to ask Lady Loretta a question about vampirism? Have a topic you want to see discussed? Email [email protected]
