Debrief in the shelter 2/2

from Covering Ukraine

A conversation, recorded in a shelter in Kyiv, about the experiences our fellows will take away from the study visit they participated in with the Europe-Ukraine Desk. Two of them share the emotional highs, lows and resilience they've witnessed, but also revisit discussions from the panels they attended with Ukrainian journalists, who shared their criticisms of the role of foreign media in covering the war in Ukraine. Flora-Dora Czatari is a Hungarian journalist, she worked for the weekly newspaper HvG when we recorded this interview in Kyiv, in February 2024, but since then she has moved to another role for the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union. She is joined by Elena Gorgis, a freelancer for German public radio. These journalists are both fellows of the Europe-Ukraine Desk. This episode is the last of a two-part mini-series.
