Jesus was not given an easy-breezy life. Jesus needed to practice discerning right from wrong and suffer difficult situations that gave him opportunities to learn how to deal with sin. Likewise, our lives are filled with opportunities to learn these same skills. We will have difficult situations to endure. We can ask Him to strengthen us and help us learn to discern what is right from wrong. Our goal should be to learn these skills so that we can imitate Jesus and also, like Jesus, be examples to others of how to say, "no" to sin.
